A breakdown of our services for 2023
1/ Green buidling
We have had a further strengthening of green building services, in particular BREEAM In-Use and GRESB which were in our top 3 services. We also continued to see high demand for other building certifications.
2/ Net zero carbon
The Paris Climate Agreement and the EU Green Deal call for climate neutrality by 2050, which has also increased demand from our clients for support in terms of energy efficiency and climate neutrality for their buildings. We help our clients to adapt their building stock and portfolios to the new legislation, as well as to comply with new regulatory standards, such as the creation of energy certificates in accordance with the German Building Energy Act (GEG).
3/ ESG services
We attribute the increased interest in our ESG consulting services to new regulations such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the EU Taxonomy and the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR). In order to meet this interest, we have expanded our range of services to include ESG strategy consulting and strengthened the area of energy efficiency and decarbonization.
4/ Technical
Due to the current market situation, we expected a decline in technical services with a simultaneous increase in ESG services. However, project monitoring remained one of our top 3 services.
Exploring our ESG priorities:
We developed our own ESG strategy by conducting a materiality analysis with our whole team as well as with stakeholders. This helped us to identify common themes and gather valuable feedback.
The graphic below shows the combined outcome of both our internal and external materiality analysis. These will form the basis of our ESG strategy and are our areas of focus for the coming years.
